Tenacious D – “Kickapoo” (The Pick Of Destiny, 2006)
Die Comedy-Rocktruppe Tenacious D tritt übrigens im Musikvideo zum Dio-Song “Push” auf, wo sie “Heaven and Hell” covern verballhornen. Dio singt dafür eine Strophe in “Kickapoo” (ebenso wie Meat Loaf) und tritt im Kinofilm “The Pick of Destiny” der “D” auf, der im Februar auch in Deutschland läuft. Da gibt’s also keine Berührungsängste. Sehr lustig. Auch klasse: Tribute (To the best Song in the World). :o)
Und Bob Dylan wollte “Blind Willie McTell” zunächst nicht veröffentlichen, weil er meinte, der Song wäre nicht perfekt gesungen. Billy Joels “We Didn’t Start The Fire” ist übrigens einer meiner All-Time-Favorits. Einfach eine geniale Idee, eine Liste der Ereignnisse der letzten Jahre zu machen und als Song herauszubringen.
